Starfire's Story

foreverlandfarm

Updated: Feb 2

Starfire was rescued in the Fall of 2022 from a farm that could no longer take care of him. He was in one of the worst conditions the sanctuary had ever seen. He was an older, emaciated pony with extremely overgrown hooves and a bunch of other medical issues. It was a labor of love from everyone involved to give him the best rescued life we could. He was put on a refeeding diet to get his weight back up, as well as taken to several medical and Ferrier visits for several ailments. Starfire's path to recovery was a tough one, but not shied away from.

With a heavy heart, we had to let Starfire go in May of 2023. Starfire was peacefully laid to rest after a long battle of trying to correct damage that other people did to him. We are so saddened by what they had to endure in their lives. In the end, it caused too much pain for us to manage here on earth for them. Thank you to their sponsors for taking such great care of them while they were here and to all of you who continue to support us.
